I deeply regret having called SeviceMaster mid November of last year. The job has barely been started as of June 4. It’s a relatively minor flood damage job in a residential home. Reluctant communications, if any. Series of project managers, each seeming to start from scratch. Zero regard for my tenant’s comfort. Utterly unapologetic.

At first, communication was attentive and responsive. While an onsite visit was arranged fairly quickly, the problem area under the roof was not actually examined by the assessor although photos were provided to them. While an estimate was provided, only vague explanations were provided as to how the proposed courses of action were going to remedy the water problem. A specific request for additional explanation was requested however, none was provided. After the job was completed, I examined the seemingly remediated area, but it did not appear to fully match what was in the initial proposal. Perhaps after viewing the area in question by the remediation crew, a different course of action was taken. Unfortunately, I was not present while the crew were on site so there was not an opportunity to ask them directly what was done. A report was provided, along with the invoice. It seemed to contain quite an amount of detail covering diagnostics and other measurement readings, but it seemed to lack specific details on fixtures that were installed, presumably meant to help mitigate the problem. Similarly, a request for an explanation of the report, in layman's terms, was requested but was advised this was the extent of the reporting. Several repeated messages were left for a request for call back, but were all were seemingly ignored. I'm unable to say whether the work was satisfactory or not and whether the problem has been resolved with any degree of confidence.
Service master has been awesome to deal with. We had a sewage backup in our office and they were dispatched and arrived in under 1.5 hours. They had the disaster mitigated in under 4 hours and the repairs are already under way. Definitely recommend.
We've been working with ServiceMaster Restore for a few years now and what stands out to me is that they plan out client's restoration projects so that clients are inconvenienced the least amount as possible. Reducing the stress to the homeowner/tenant. That and the owners are very hands-on. They've got a robust warehouse for content processing and a team of experienced Project Managers. From residential to commercial claims, they can handle it all.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to ServiceMaster for all their hard work in helping us get our home back after a flood. Everyone works incredibly hard, and this company is as reliable as it gets! Highly recommend! The team that came in to pack up our belongings and make sure everything was handled with love and care was wonderful. Amy was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was so accommodating with everything we were facing during that time. I also want to point out that Edris, who came in to complete the baseboards and get things back to a place where we could start putting furniture back in, was fantastic—just like all the employees at ServiceMaster. Edris was such a pleasure to deal with. He jumped right on top of things and had everything ready for us so quickly that we were able to get our daughter back into her room sooner than expected. The work was also beautifully done. Thank you, Edris! Peter is one of a kind. He is so great to deal with and truly shows that he cares about his clients. From day one, we have felt taken care of. He always responds the same day when we have questions—he’s amazing! Andy is also wonderful to deal with. He’s quick to solve any issues and always makes sure someone is ready to come in and get the job done. He clearly knows his stuff and makes sure things are done right and quickly. We feel very lucky that ServiceMaster was there to help us through our flooded basement.
We thought we needed carpet cleaning after a pot of chicken soup was burning and smoking for hours. “No it’s a ‘protein fire’,”said Rod at ServiceMaster “carpet cleaning won’t do it”. On his excellent advice we contacted our insurance provider and we’re looking at up to $150k renovation - carpets, kitchen cabinets, appliances, etc! Another company was simply going to do the carpet cleaning. ServiceMaster is packing everything up, moving it out, cleaning and storing items, using “air scrubbers”... Insurance is covering replacement of anything that still smells afterwards! Thank you SO much for the excellent advice and quick attention Rod! We really appreciate your expertise and support!

I worked on a movie that came to the island and filmed a movie at the end of 2025 and into early 2026. Our main location was a residential house which required cleaning after our shoot was complete. We reached out to this company and requested a quote for a basic clean of the main floor and a small guest suite. Their original quote was $8900.00. This quote was given without an on site assessment. Well that seemed like a bit much so we invited them out to see the house and they did come. After they came we asked for a revised quote but they told me that they weren't comfortable with altering it. I then started looking for other companies and found some that were happy to do the job for less. When we called Servicemaster and told them we would no longer need them and they instantly came back with a new estimate that was $2900.00. (6K below the first number they suggested it would cost to clean a 1500 square foot main floor of a house). So because this company had already done some upholstery cleaning at this home and the owners liked their work we decided to hire them. On the day of the cleaning they showed up and cleaned the house. The crew of six people were in and out within about 4 hours. The next day I asked for an itemized invoice for the work. They sent the same quote for $2900.00. Again we requested an itemized invoice and they then broke down the costs as such - $65 an hour per cleaning tech x6 = $1200.00. Uhmmm okay I guess that makes sense because they were actually working/cleaning for about 3 hours. Also, good on you for paying your crew somewhere hopefully in the neighbourhood of $65 an hour ( cough cough). But the kicker was the extra charge for cleaning the outside deck ($500) and the interior floor ($600). So explain to me how these cleaning charges (deck&floor) aren't covered by the hourly cleaning charge per person that we are paying. In my 20 plus years of film work I have never come across a company that was so dishonest and deceitful. I am definitely accustomed to paying a bit more because we have tight deadlines but this company has disheartened me so much that it came to me writing a google review which says a lot.
Not all heroes wear capes. These guys bailed me out of a very difficult situation. They were not afraid of a sewage backup and mold. They showed up to work on Saturday when I needed urgent help. Very empathic bunch. Much appreciated!

Highly recommend! I used them for a biohazard situation in a rental suite, they made it look brand! I planned to discard a lot of appliances and fixtures but their team cleaned it, saving thousands in refurnishing it. Some things are beyond cleaning but what they accomplished was outstanding, they went above and beyond. The owner I believe his who I spoke with and he was easy to communicate with and made the process quick and easy.
